FAQs
What is Bowroo™ and how is it different from other nursing pillows?
Bowroo isn’t a traditional nursing pillow — it’s a contoured head and neck bolster.
Most nursing pillows lift your baby’s body, leaving their head unsupported, which can cause drooping, twisting, and poor alignment.
Incorporating soft memory foam for your baby and structured foam for you, Bowroo gently supports your baby’s head and neck, keeping both of you naturally aligned.
The result? Less strain, less hunching, and more calm, connected feeding — no matter how you nurse.
What age is Bowroo for?
Bowroo is designed for newborns through about 15 months — a key period when babies are primarily nursing or being bottle-fed and benefit most from ergonomic support.
If you and your baby are still comfortable, well-aligned, and the setup continues to feel right, you’re welcome to keep using it beyond 15 months. As always, ensure you’re seated comfortably yourself and your baby is supported and supervised during use.
Is Bowroo just for breastfeeding mothers?
No! Bowroo was designed to be inclusive — for all body types, sizes, and caregivers.
Whether you’re a new mom, partner, grandparent, or nanny, Bowroo adapts to your body and feeding setup.
Traditional pillows are one-size-fits-all; Bowroo moves with you.
Use it:
- Upright on a chair or couch
- Side-lying in bed
- On the go — during travel or feedings away from home
Bowroo's compact shape and integrated arm strap make it easy to adjust and use anywhere.
How do I use Bowroo?
Step 1: Get comfortable
Sit upright in a supported position — bed, couch, or chair — wherever you nurse most often.
Step 2: Place Bowroo
Tuck Bowroo under your baby’s head and neck. The contoured edge cradles their head naturally, bringing them closer to your breast or bottle. Slide your hand through the strap to help secure the pillow and maintain gentle support as you nurse.
Step 3: Adjust as needed
Switch sides? Bottle feed? Side-lying in bed? On the go? No problem. Bowroo moves with you — use it on its own, on another pillow, or strapped to your arm for extra support.
Step 4: Relax
Let Bowroo do the lifting. Breathe. Connect.
How should I care for my Bowroo?
Bowroo is designed to be easy to clean.
Soft Outer Cover: machine wash cold, gentle cycle, tumble dry low or air dry.
Fluid-Resistant Inner Cover: machine wash cold, gentle cycle, air dry only.
Dual-Layer Foam Core: spot clean only, air dry.
Tip: Many families purchase a second set of covers so they’re never without one during laundry day.
Is Bowroo safe for sleep, tummy time, or sitting?
No. Bowroo is for supervised feeding only while both baby and caregiver are awake.
It is not designed for sleep, tummy time, propping, or sitting.
If your baby falls asleep during or after feeding, always move them to a flat, firm sleep surface such as a crib or bassinet.
Never leave your baby unattended on Bowroo.
